I thought today we'd imagine domestic violence from the beginning as with the caveman called Priq and his "woman" Mammes. Priq kills his food, kills his enemies, kills intruders into his territory, just a regular day at the office.
Mammes his "woman" is another being somewhat like him, but much kinder and maternal and reasonable and willing to cook Priq's food and clean the cave.
Also, Priq is driven by an innate driving force which exhibits itself in rough sex. He's not sure why, just knows that it feels darn good. Now, since Priq knows that Mammes is smaller and softer and smarter and more docile, but attractive to the other cave guys, he wants to make sure that she knows that she is his posession. He doesn't want to fight potential lookers, prefering to keep her in the cave and away from others. Now Mammes is in too deep and has believed that she had to do this because Priq drags her by the hair and clubs her when she doesn't do what he says. Each time after this happens, he makes soothing grunting sounds and Mammes believes he will change because that's what she wants to believe. She realizes too late that Priq is insecure and will do anything to keep her.
He, in the meantime, is free to roam with other mates. Mammes makes her escape and meets caveman Cuvit. Priq is enraged and his ego will not take it. He goes into full hunting mode and stalks and harasses his prey, this is his new life and no one else is going to get his posession and prey. . Each time it gets worse until he finally kills her.. In Cavemen's court, the judge is understanding, saying "I don't know what I'd do myself if I loved someone."
Some things never change. Got the message?
Take good care of yourself and think first and long..
